List of projects I have worked on throughout my studies and internship.
Bras Basah Complex
As part of my final year project at Singapore Polytechnic, I worked in a group of five collaborating with Bras Basah Complex Merchant, Enterprise Singapore, and Heartland Enterprise Centre Singapore. We developed the website using WordPress and hosted it using AWS. Our objective was to modernize Bras Basah Complex's digital infrastructure, focusing on improving content management system (CMS) capabilities and creating a modern, engaging, and user-friendly online platform.
Visioneer
During my internship at Websparks, I contributed to Visioneer, a project aimed at showcasing how websparks achieves website sustainability. Utilizing Next.js, I developed a single-page application that can be compiled into static HTML. As a fictitious creative agency, Visioneer serves as a platform for demonstrating Websparks' approach to sustainable web design. Through pages like the 'Our Sustainability' page, we illustrate our mission, vision, and goals regarding sustainability, including metrics such as the website's carbon footprint.
Websparks
During my 6-month internship at Websparks, I worked on a new iteration of the company's website using Next.js, a React framework, focusing on frontend development.
Threejs Floor Map
Proof of Concept for a 3D Floor Map of Bras Basah Complex. The model was created using Blender, with 3D rendering and interactivity powered by Three.js. Although functional, the 3D Floor Map was never implemented in the final product, as we determined it might not be user-friendly — users could find it too complex to navigate.
Card Games
A gaming website featuring classic card games with both single-player and multiplayer modes. Users can chat with friends, compete on leaderboards, and enjoy the social aspects of gaming. The website was built using the PERN stack (PostgreSQL, Express, React, Node), with socket.io for real-time multiplayer and chat functionality. We used Cloudinary to host images, Google Sign-In for user authentication, reCAPTCHA for security, Redis to manage online users, and Anime.js for animations. I collaborated with a team of five to design and develop the website during my time at Singapore Polytechnic.
